Tuesday, January 12th of 2016 marks a day in history of private aviation. CATS, signed to open its sister branches in Cuba for all General Aviation, becoming the first company in the world to start operating as a designated Business Aviation Handling Agency (BAHA) across Cuba. The first BAHA will open at the Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, Cuba. CATS will provide full service handling, VIP service, fuel, concierge, permit coordination and many more.
CATS is a well established local company for 32 years and played a pioneering role in the private aviation industry in Curacao. Owner and CEO, Soenita Oedjaghir steered the team of young professionals and long time agents towards developing a stronger brand and prepared them for future potentials.
In 2013, shareholders Msc. Ir. Vishal Oedjaghir, Krishna Doll-Oedjaghir and financial manager MBA. Kyle Doll joined and the company commenced a transition toward expansion. After local rejection for investment, CATS took a different approach and spread its roots internationally, becoming a multinational and the first company in the world to soon open BAHA’s in Cuba. Chairman and advisor, Captain Ronald Gibbs foresees great collaboration between the companies in both Curacao and Cuba. He states that the growth of the company is due to strong collaboration between long time experienced team members and the knowledge and energy of young professionals.
CATS shareholders strongly indicate that all this would not have been possible without the hard work, support, trust and loyalty of their team in Curacao. CATS would like to take this opportunity to thank its team in Curacao, consisting of; Viandhar Oedjaghir, Osty Moreno, Sherman Libiee, Shermaline Job, Jurgen Celestijn, Jonayly Hooi, Shudairi Rojer, Raylyn Cijntje, Gloria Naomi Apostel and Brigitte Tremus.
The CATS team will continue to strive and work on its part to grow the private aviation industry in Curacao while spreading its well trusted brand internationally, putting Curacao and Cuba on the world wide map of private aviation.
